BEAT Magazine feature Sam Frankl
BEAT Magazine have featured rising singer-songwriter Sam Frankl and a selection of his favourite reads.
Singer-songwriter, poet and producer, Frankl releases his debut Hopscotch EP on One Two Many on August 26th.
Lyrical grace and gentle, flourishing electronica cocoon Frankl’s burrowing acoustics. Songs that bow as much to Leonard Cohen as they do to James Blake, the EP introduces a hypnotic young voice captivated by the shadows of the human condition and grounded by years spent traveling the globe, writing poetry and mastering his own production techniques.
Lead single ‘Macondo‘ pays homage to literary classic ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ by famed Columbian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Speaking to BEAT Magazine, Frankl described his passion for the novel plus a list of further authors that have won his heart including Vargas Llosa, Juan Ruflo and Julio Cortazar.
